Geography

At New Road Primary School, our main focus in Geography is to spark a lifelong curiosity and fascination about the world and its people. This journey begins right at the start in EYFS, where children explore their immediate surroundings through sensory play and local discovery. These early experiences help them build a real "sense of place" and a genuine wonder for the environment. As pupils move through the school, our enquiry-based curriculum bridges the gap between their own lives and the wider world. We prioritise hands-on activities and fieldwork, making sure that learning happens both inside and outside the classroom.
