Week 6- WB 28/03.2022- Under the sea

For under the sea week we looked at food chains of animals under the sea,

We compared numbers using our knowledge of numbers to 50.

We learnt how to represent numbers to 50.

We completed lots of different exercises outside.

We explored how to move and measure water using a syringe.

Week 5- WB- 21/03/2022- Snow and ice.

We created a home where ducks and chickens could live.

We continued to paint our outside volcano.

We learnt about igloos and tried to make our own using the construction.

Here is another example of one of our igloos.

We spent time outside exploring water.

We ordered pictures from the Easter story.

Liam was building snowflakes.

We also watched the ducks have a swim in the pool.

Week 4 - WB:14.3.2022: Volcanos and Science week 2

This week was all about volcanos. We made volcanos from lego.

We learnt about what happens when they erupt.

We learnt about tectonic plates and how volcanos are formed.

As part of science week we watched how ducks are born and read books about ducks.

In maths we learnt a different way of subtracting within 20.

Week 3: WB 7.3.2022 - Duck Week and Week 1 of Science weeks.

This week we learnt all about Ducks ready for the eggs arriving next week.

We made our own duck homes in the small world area.

We talked about and drawed pictures of ducks.

We ordered numbers to 20 so that the frog could travel home.

Chance made his own city using the small world.

To start week 1 of science week we looked closely at our friends to draw portraits.

We also found out how many lego and pencils would make the same height as Miss Walkiden.

Week 2 - WB 28.2.2022 - Rainforest Theme

We looked at the different layers of the ranforest.

We created habitats using the small world.

We went on minibeast hunts.

We created pictures on the computer in the style of William Morris.

This week we pretended to be teachers and read a story to our friends.

Week 1 - WB 21.02.2022 - Mini beast Theme

This week we were learning about minibeasts and microhabitats.

We researched our favouriete minibeasts.

We learnt about how to save our bees and why they are important.

We created our own Andy Goldsworthy art work using natural resources.

We created a bee hotel using the small world.

We also made bee hotels uing lego and thought of machines that could help bees.

We read stories about saving the world. Our favourite was Somebody Crunched Colin.
